Bulldogs Fall to Princeton and Harvard at HYPs

The men's swimming team lost to both Harvard and Princeton at HYPs, losing to the Crimson 245-106 and falling to Princeton 272-79. Princeton won the meet, beating both Harvard and Yale.

Top Yale performances included the 200 yard freestyle, where Andrew Foss and Quinn Fitzgerald finished second and third with times of 1:39.34 and 1:40.02, respectively. Foss also finished second in the 500-yard free, clocking a 4:30.26 time.

Alex Nash took third place in the 100-yard backstroke, swimming to a 50.21 time.

Jimmy Veazey and Jack Cooney both earned fourth place results, with Veazey's coming from a time of 1:49.12 in the 200-yard butterfly and Cooney's being from the 200-yard IM, where he swam a 1:52.62. Veazey also picked up a third place finish in the 100-yard free with a time of 45.20.

Kent Garber earned second place in the mile freestyle, clocking a time of 15:39.17, while John Atkinson finished third in the event in 15:48.67.
