March 4, 2007

PISCATAWAY, NJ - The Yale men's swimming and diving team had three representatives competing on day two of the NCAA Zone A diving regionals. Jeffrey Lichtenstein led all Elis with a third place finish in the 3 meter dive, scoring 667.30 points.

Lichtenstein improved on yesterday's ninth place finish by finishing third behind Karo Isajan of LaSalle and Jeremy Stultz of Pittsburgh. He qualified for the final in third place and managed to hold off Navy's Kevin Teague and Penn State's Mike Alderman.

Pat Hayden was in action for the second consecutive day Saturday afternoon. He was joined by Douglas Scott to complete Yale's trio in the three meter event. Hayden and Scott did not score high enough in the preliminaries to qualify for the final however. Hayden finished 26th with 231.05 points and Scott finished 25th with 231.60 points.

Complete results from the diving regionals, hosted by Rutgers, are available at the Rutgers website.
