Elis Wrap Up EISLs With 4th Place Finish

Having stood in fourth place all weekend, the men's swimming team ended up that way with 959.5 points in the EISLs, hosted by Princeton. In Saturday's competition, Yale was led by their 400-yard freestyle relay team, whose time of 2:59.74 gave them an NCAA-B level showing.

The relay team, comprised of Jack Cooney, Matt Bowman, Andrew Foss, and Jimmy Veazey, finished fourth overall in the event.

Other top finishers for Yale included Alex Nash and Matt Aldrich. Nash earned a fifth place standing in the 200-yard backstroke, swimming to a 1:48.06 time, while Aldrich posted a fifth place finish in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 15:42.36.

Two other Yale swimmers finished directly behind Aldrich. Kent Garber swam a 15:47.80 for sixth place, while John Atkinson ended up eighth with a timeof 15:47.86.
