Yale in Second With One Day Left at George Mason

Fairfax, Va. - The Yale men's swimming and diving stayed in second place after the second day at the Patriot Inviational at George Mason on Saturday. The Bulldogs have 511.5 points, trailing only Duke with 589.5.

The top Bulldog performance in an individual event on the second day came in the 200-yard freestyle, where Andrew Foss won in 1:40.49 to lead three Elis in the top four. Kieran Locke finished third in 1:42.55, and John Atkinson was right behind him in fourth.

Yale also won the 800-yard freestyle relay in a meet-record time of 5:47.57. Quinn Fitzgerald joined Locke, Atkinson and Foss on the winning team.

Ben Dzialo placed second for Yale in the 100-yard butterfly.

The meet concludes Sunday.
