Yale, coming off its first dual meets of the season, will travel to George Mason University in Virginia to compete at the Patriot Invitational this Friday through Sunday (Nov. 18-20). The Bulldogs were the surprise team champion last year. They caught Duke, who had led by a substantial margin for the first two days of the meet, on the final day and on the final relay. The team scored 797.50 points, carrying them to victory over the Blue Devils.
The three-day meet will follow the NCAA national championship format and prepare the Bulldogs for the championship meets (EISL's & NCAA's) later this school year. This coming Tuesday following the Patriot meet, the team will finish its pre-Thanksgiving competition with a dual meet against Johns Hopkins in Baltimore.
As a new season begins, the Bulldogs hope to continue their rich tradition of swimming and diving success as Head coach Frank Keefe returns for his 28th season at the helm of the Blue.
