The Yale men's swimming team concludes its fall schedule this weekend by hosting the 2004 Nutmeg Invitational. The meet brings 10 teams to the RJ Kiphuth Exhibition Pool for two days of competition in the NCAA/Ivy League Championship format. The sessions on Saturday, December 4th will start at 12 noon with the finals at 7 pm. On Sunday, December 5th the 1650 Freestyle event will be held at 9 am, with the balance of that day's events starting at 12 noon.
The meet draws teams from both in and outside the Nutmeg state to compete against the Bulldogs. Although no team score will be kept, area swimmers from Central Connecticut State University, Southern Connecticut State University, and Bridgeport University will be contesting the 40-event program along with the swimmers and divers of Yale.
As was the case two weekends ago when the Bulldogs traveled to Virginia for the Patriot Invitational, this home meet brings a group of schools representing a wide range of conferences including the University of Massachusetts (Atlantic 10), Syracuse University (Big East), Boston College (Atlantic Coast), Fairfield University (MAAC) and Williams College (NESCAC).
