PRINCETON, N.J. – The Yale men's tennis team competed in the second day of tournament play at the Princeton-Farnsworth tournament on Saturday. Junior Marc Powers advances to the finals in both the singles and doubles "A" draws, alongside doubles partner and classmate Daniel Hoffman.
No. 2 seeded Powers won his semifinals match in the "A" singles draw after defeating Columbia's Haig Scheinderman 7-5, 6-2. Powers will take on Saint John's Vasco Mladenov in the finals on Sunday. Powers and Hoffman advanced to the finals of the "A" Doubles Draw, defeating Bojic and Madenov from Saint John's by an 8-2 margin, marking their third consecutive 8-2 victory. The finals will take place on Sunday against PSU's Bader and Welnetz.
