ITHACA, N.Y. – Seven Bulldogs will compete in the Cornell Invitational this weekend: senior captain Erik Blumenkranz, junior Zach Dean, sophomores Patrick Chase and Kyle Dawson, and freshmen Tommy Ratchford, Daniel Faierman, and Matt Saiontz. Cornell will host Yale alongside Army and Binghampton for the tournament.
Last year Yale did not attend the Cornell Invitational. Instead, Cornell hosted Navy, Fairleigh Dickinson, Army, and Duquesne.
The Yale men's tennis team has had a busy week, with five members just returning from the ITA All-American Tournament in Oklahoma. Junior John Huang won four matches in the pre-qualifying round and his first match in the qualifying round, and classmate Marc Powers winning his first match in the qualifying draw as well. Powers and classmate Daniel Hoffman will play the first round of the All American doubles on Thursday evening.
