Bulldogs Wrap Up Cornell Invitational

ITHACA, N.Y. - The Yale men's tennis team wrapped up the Cornell Invitational today, defeating Cornell in doubles 2-1 and Army in singles 5-1. The Bulldogs came up short in doubles against Army, falling 2-1.

Freshman Daniel Faierman posted impressive results for the Bulldogs by winning all three of his matches. First, Faierman teamed up with senior captain Erik Blumenkranz in doubles to defeat Cornell's team of Fleck and Nguyen 8-3. Against Army, Faierman and classmate Matt Saiontz bested Jang-Milsten and Shelton. At No. 3 singles, Faierman won in straight sets against Army's Van Velzer.

On Thursday, the Bulldogs will return to Ithaca for the USTA/ITA Regional Championship.
