2016-17 Season (Freshman): Started the season strong with an 8-1 record in his first nine singles matches ... claimed both the singles and doubles titles at the Connecticut State Championships ... won two matches at the ITA Northeast Regionals ... concluded the fall with a 7-1 overall doubles record and 12-4 overall singles record ... played primarily at the No. 5 and No. 6 singles positions during the spring ... notched his first Ivy League win with a victory over Cornell's Daniel Grunberger ... won five straight singles matches in the month of March ... ended the season with a 22-15 overall singles record.

 

Before Yale: served as captain of Cypress Bay High School team senior year, leading them to district, regional, and state championships ... also played on district, regional and state championship team in 2013, as well as district and regional championship team in 2014 ... made All-County Team in 2016 ... went undefeated in the top singles and doubles spots for Cypress Bay in 2016, earning All-County Player of the Year recognition.

Notes: Andrew's cousin graduated from Brown, and his uncle was a professor at Yale. He loves dogs and going to the beach.

Why Yale? "Yale was a more cooperative community than any of the other schools I looked at, and I wanted to explore my interests in a liberal arts setting."
