2016-17 Season (Freshman): Started the season with six straight singles wins and finished the fall with a 13-2 overall singles record ... won out in doubles at the Penn Invitational alongside Ryan Cheng ... qualified for and won all four of his matches at the ITA All-American Championships ... reached the round of 16 at the ITA Northeast Regionals ... started at No. 2 doubles with Cheng for most of the spring ... primarily played at the No. 3 singles spot during the spring, notching a 19-3 dual match record ... posted a highlight victory over No. 81 Billy Griffith of California ... went 5-1 in the Ivy League to earn Second Team All-Ivy recognition in singles ... finished the season with a 32-4 overall singles record, the most wins of any Yale player in over three decades.

 

Before Yale: served as team captain of Grant High School tennis team senior year ... trained under coach Aaron Gross at the Academy at the University of Portland ... won the PIL District title twice ... won the OSAA 6A state singles championship in 2016 ... named Oregon Prep Tennis Player of the Year in 2016 ... high school team claimed the OSAA 6A team title in 2015, came second in 2016.

Notes: Dylan’s dad, Steve, played college tennis at the University of Portland. His hobbies include listening to music, enjoying the outdoors, eating food, reading, yoga, and meditation. During high school, Dylan volunteered as a math tutor and coached tennis in his spare time.
