Rory had a very distinguished career as a player for the
Bulldogs. He was last year's captain and played #1 doubles and #3
singles. He had a strong season guiding the Bulldogs to a 4th place
Ivy League finish while posting a 13-7 singles record and an 11-10
doubles record. During his career at Yale Rory amassed a singles
record of 52-42, and a doubles record of 36-34. Rory played #1
doubles for 3 years and was selected Second-Team All-Ivy Doubles
his junior year. Rory is a two-time ITA Scolar-Athlete (GPA 3.5),
and led the team to its first ever Richard Brodhead Award for
having the highest team G.P.A. of any sport at Yale. Rory was
awarded all three Yale varsity tennis awards during his time at
Yale; in 2007 he won the Stuart D. Ludlum, Jr. '62 Memorial Award
for team spirit, in 2008 he won the George A. Phelps '95 Memorial
Award for most improved, and in 2008 he also won the prestigious
James A. Hutchinson '96 Award for leadership.
