NEW YORK - The Yale men's tennis team won three titles at the Columbia Invitational at the Dick Savitt Tennis Center on Sunday afternoon, highlighted by an all-Yale match in the Flight A singles final between Ryan Murphy and Brandon Wai, won by Murphy.
Murphy defeated Wai, 6-3, 6-0, in the Flight A singles final match.
Murphy also teamed Wai to take home the Flight A doubles championship, first defeating Columbia's Jimmy Moore and Scott Robbin, 8-6, in the semifinals. In the finals, Murphy and Wai beat another Columbia duo, Marty Moore and Akshay Rao, 8-2 to take the title.
In the Flight B singles final, Rowan Reynolds defeated Columbia's Michael Accordino, 6-1, 6-0.
The Bulldogs return to action this Friday, February 6, to face North Carolina State in Raleigh, N.C.
