Yale Bested by #45 San Diego

San Diego, CA - The Yale men's tennis team was defeated 7-0 today by the University of San Diego, currently ranked 45th in the nation. The University of San Diego has been on a hot streak this week, defeating three ranked teams in five days. San Diego continued their winning ways today against the unranked Yale team. Yale's record is now 2-6.
San Diego took the double's point, winning the number 2 and 3 matches. Ryan Murphy and Brandon Wai gave Yale their only victory of the day, going 9-8(3) against their opponents.
San Diego also dominated throughout the singles matches. Number 2 Murphy started strong in the first set but could not overcome his opponent, Nic Beuque, for the win. The match ended 3-6, 7-5, 1-0 (6) in Beuque's favor. The other Elis were shut out in straight sets.
The Bulldogs look to come back strong against Loyola Marymount in Los Angeles on Sat., Mar. 12.
