Yale Beats No. 51 Utah

San Diego, CA - The Yale men's tennis team wrapped up their spring break tour today with a win over the University of Utah. The Bulldogs, currently ranked No. 66 in the nation, beat No. 51 Utah 4-3.

Brandon Wai '07 won at No. 1 singles in straight sets, going 6-4, 6-3 over Zach Ganger. Milosz Gudzowski '06 defeated Tomasz Grzub 6-4, 6-2, to claim the No. 2 spot. At the No. 3 spot, Michael Caldwell '09 also won in straight sets against Jason Yap, 6-2, 6-0. Rowan Reynolds, playing at the No. 6 spot, continued the Elis' streak with a win over Ryan Scott, 7-6, 6-4.

In doubles action, Gudzowski and Chris Lawler '07 won the No. 3 spot, 8-3.

The Elis will play Manhattan College on Sat., April 1 at 12:30 p.m. at home in New Haven.
