Yale Falls to USD 6-1

San Diego, CA - The Bulldogs (4-7) fell to the No. 75 Toreros (8-7) 6-1 Friday in the team's final San Diego spring trip match. Yale swept the doubles matches to win the doubles point in the loss.

At No. 1 doubles, senior Brandon Wai and junior Rory Green won 8-5. Sophomore Jeff Dawson and Josh Lederman also came away with an 8-5 victory at No. 2 doubles. Playing at No.3 doubles, sophomore Michael Caldwell and freshman Connor Dawson also pulled out an 8-5 victory.

Yale could not pull out any singles matches, though. The Bulldogs lost four heartbreakers in three sets. Jeff Dawson, Green, Connor Dawson, and Schimmel all could not pull out three setters at No. 3, 4, 5 and 6 singles, respectively.
