PRINCETON, N.J. - The Yale men's tennis team completed Day Two at the Princeton/Farnsworth Invitational in New Jersey today. Highlights from today included Michael Caldwell's win over Simon Bekker of Penn to advance to the "A" singles consolation final.
Caldwell, unfortunately, couldn't advance with teammate Chris Lawler in the A doubles draw, as the two dropped their match to Paul Ratchford and Marty Moore of Columbia. Yale will, however, be represented in the A doubles semifinals by Josh Lederman and Jeff Dawson, who won today against Penn's Jason Pinsky and Brandon O'Gara, the No. 2-seeded team in the tournament.
Despite Caldwell's win, the Bulldogs had a tougher day in the singles portion. Lederman and Jeff Dawson lost their consolation matches in A singles, and Connor Dawson fell in the semifinals of the B singles draw. Connor Dawson will play a match tomorrow for third place.
