Flushing, NY - A day after defeating Georgetown in the round of sixteen at the ECAC Invitational in Flushing, New York, the Bulldogs came up short against No. 3 seed Princeton in the quarterfinals Saturday.
In the round of sixteen match against Georgetown, the No. 6 seed Bulldogs came away with a 4-3 victory. After dropping the doubles point, Yale came up with victories from junior Jeff Dawson at No. 2 singles, senior Rory Green at No. 3 singles, sophomore Connor Dawson at No. 4 singles, and Calvin Bennett at No. 5 singles
Yale's quest for the ECAC Invitational Title came to a halt Saturday at the hand of Princeton, though. The Tigers defeated the Bulldogs 5-2. Yale's lone victories came from Jeff Dawson at No. 2 singles and Bennett at No. 5 singles.
