The Bulldogs ended their run at the Omni Hotels ITA Championships Sunday, with Ryan Murphy getting to the fourth round before being eliminated.
In his first match of the day, the No. 11 seed Murphy defeated Army's John Houghton in a back-and-forth competition, winning 6-1, 1-6, 6-3 to move into the fourth round. There, he faced No. 5 seed Mark Barry from Penn State University and fell after a tight first set, 7-6(4), 6-1.
After taking the first set from No. 9 seed Soren Spanner from Virginia Tech, Wai was outlasted 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 to fall in the third round.
Gudzowski withdrew from the consolation quarterfinals, giving Boston College's Chris McCoy the default victory.
