Wai Receives Sportsmanship Award

Yale men's tennis player Brandon Wai has received the Southern California Tennis Association's Evelyn Houseman Sportsmanship Award for 2003, and will be recognized at the Association's annual meeting on February 2.

Wai, a native of San Diego, was selected for his conduct while participating in the programs of the SCTA and the United States Tennis Association. Wai finished the 2002 USTA junior circuit with a national ranking of #3 in singles and #2 in doubles in the 16 & under division. He is a graduate of La Jolla High School in San Diego, where he was the first player in history to three-peat as CIF San Diego Section Champion.

The Yale men's tennis team resumes play January 30 at the Columbia Invitational.
