Six Bulldogs Earn All-Ivy Honors
Selections Based on Heptagonals Performance
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Six Bulldogs earned All-Ivy honors based on their performance at Heptagonals Championships last weekend in Princeton, N.J. on May 8-9. The event winners earn first-team All-Ivy status with the runners up taking a spot on the second team.
Senior Eric DePalo earned first team honors for his win in the pole vault with a season best of 5.00m. This is DePalo's second time on the first team after placing first in the pole vault his sophomore year as well.
Two individuals and one relay team earned second team honors. Senior Chris Labosky was runner-up in the 800-meter run, while junior Marty Evans was runner-up in the 200-meter dash. The 4x100 meter relay team of senior Reynolds Holmes, Evans, junior Chris Stanley and sophomore Matt Bieszard also earned All-Ivy honors for their second-place finish, running a season best of 40.95.
Many of the Bulldogs who were selected for All-Ivy have also met outdoor qualifying standards to compete in the IC4A Championships at Princeton on May 14-16.
