Three Bulldogs Earn All-East Honors
Selections Based on Performances at IC4As
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The trio of seniors Eric DePalo, Alex Harris and Chris Labosky capped off their collegiate careers with All-East honors from the IC4A Championships held at Princeton last weekend. The top eight athletes in each event earn All-East recognition.
DePalo placed seventh in the pole vault to earn All-East honors. DePalo has had an impessive career, winning the pole vault at Heptagonals Championships his sophomore and senior years and qualifying for IC4As the last two years.
Harris took seventh in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at IC4As and set a PR of 8:57.30, running the fifth-fastest time for Yale outdoor. His time may qualify him for the NCAA Regional Championships on May 28-29, which will be announced later this week. In his first season specializing in the steeplechase, Harris has quickly developed into a standout runner after winning the event at the Harvard-Yale meet and taking third at Heptagonals.
Labosky placed fifth in the 800-meter run and set a new school record of 1:48.25 in the preliminaries. This is his second year earning All-East honors after placing sixth in the 800-meter run his sophomore year. Labosky is currently ranked 14th in the region, according to tfrrs.org, and will most likely compete at the NCAA Regional as well.
