EUGENE, Ore. – The best collegiate runners in the country gathered at the University of Oregon on Wednesday to begin the NCAA Championships. Senior Chris Labosky competed in the semifinals of the 800-meter run.
Labosky was one of 24 men competing in three heats. Labosky finished sixth in his heat and 22nd overall with a time of 1:51.63. The first two finishers in each heat and the next two fastest runners qualified for the finals.
This was a great close to an impressive season and career for Labosky at Yale. Labosky was elected to the 2010 CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District Men's Track & Field/ Cross Country First Team on June 3 for the third time. He was honored Yale Athletics' Delaney Kiphuth Award at graduation, and was captain of the cross country team in 2009.
