NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's track and field team concluded competition earlier today at the NCAA East Preliminary Round contested in Tampa, Fla. Today's meet also marked the end of the 2018 outdoor season for the Bulldogs.
Paedyn Gomes was the only Bulldog to compete today, running the first round of the 110mH against stiff competition. Gomes ran strong through the finish line, clocking in at 14.18, good enough for 34th place overall. Gomes' career as a Bulldog is now over, but was highlighted by numerous impressive finishes including two Ivy League championships. He sits at second on the Yale all-time list for the 110mH, as well as the 60mH. Gomes will leave Yale considered one of the best, if not the best, hurdlers in school history.
Results from the meet can be found here.
