NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Three members of Yale Men's Track and Field will be flying down to Jacksonville, Fla., next week to compete in the NCAA East Preliminary Round against some of the best athletes in the country.
In the 1500m run, traditionally a strong event the Bulldogs, training partners Nick Dahl and Allen Siegler qualified. Sophomore Dahl goes into the competition ranked 19th, merely a second outside of the all-important top 10 that will go on to the final round. For Siegler, seeded in thirty-third, qualification represents achieving a key goal in his track and field career.
Laut, a senior pole vaulter, once again qualifies – as he has done every year at Yale, an incredible feat. Seeded in 11th, this is his highest-ever seeding, and in an event where anything can happen on the day, he will be hopeful that with a bit of luck and another great performance he can qualify for the final round.
A full preview will be posted on yalebulldogs.com in advance of the meet.
