Yale's distance runners were impressive in the newly renovated Coxe Cage, as the trio of Casey Moriarty, Lucas Meyer, and Patrick Dantzer swept the top three finishes in the 3000 meter run and Yale's distance medley earned first on the day. Dan O'Brien was Yale's other top finisher in the meet.
Moriarty ran a time of 8:30.59 to finish first in the 3K run, while Meyer was right behind him at 8:30.82 and Dantzer finished with a time of 8:33.16. In the distance medley, the team ran a time of 10:01.44, good for first place.
Dan O'Brien ran the 60m hurdles in 8:31, earning him the top finish in the finals.
In the 60 meter dash, Victor Cheng and Brandon Giles both finished with times of 7:02, earning them second and third place. Rob Alexander and Rob deLaski also picked up second and third in the 400 meter run, with Alexander finishing in 49.45 and DeLaski running to a 49.95 time.
In the one mile run, Josh Yelsey was the second place finisher in 4:13.55.
Yale's 4x800 relay team also earned a first place finish with a time of 7:49.6.
The Elis travel to New Hampshire next weekend to race against Dartmouth and Columbia.
