Numerous Elis Qualify for ECAC/IC4As in Loss to Cornell

While the Bulldogs were defeated 87-53 by Cornell, several Elis set records and qualified for ECAC/IC4As with their times in the meet in Ithaca, NY.
Brandon Giles tied an 8-year meet record in the 60m dash and posted an ECAC/IC4A time of 6.96 in the 60m dash to finish first. Teammate Victor Cheng trailed behind him in second place with a time of 7.04.
In the 3K run, Lucas Meyer's first place time of 8:24.44 was good for an ECAC/IC4A time, while Yale's 4x800 team that finished first did so with an ECAC/IC4A time of 7:51.14.
Jihad Beauchman won the high jump with a height of 6'07" and finished second in the triple jump with 48'02", giving him an ECAC/IC4A distance.
Kevin Alexander won two events on the day, taking the 400m run in 50.17 and coming in first in the 200m in 22.32. Giles finished second in the 200 with a time of 22.38.
The Bulldogs return home to host the HYPs next weekend.
