HANOVER, N.H. - In the first day of competition at Dartmouth's Leverone Field House, Patrick Dantzer and John Langhauser scored points for Yale, while three athletes in the short sprints advanced to the finals to be held tomorrow. Yale ended the day with ten points, which put the Bulldogs in sixth after four events.
Dantzer was third in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 8:13.45.
Langhauser was fourth in the weight throw with a toss of 16.88 meters.
Dan O'Brien qualified for finals in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.19. Victor Cheng also moved on to finals in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.99. Kevin Alexander was the final qualifier for the Bulldogs in the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.28.
Competition will conclude on Sunday.
