Giles Breaks Record Again First Day of IC4A Championship

BOSTON, Mass. - The Elis finished the first day of competition without points at the 86th Annual IC4A Track and Field Championship at Boston University's Track and Field Pavilion. Only a few weeks after breaking the school record in the 200-meter dash, Brandon Giles did it again, running to a time of 21.65 and qualifying for finals. His old record was 21.83.

Giles also qualified for the semifinals of the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.49.

In the 55-meter hurdles, Dan O'Brien ran a time of 7.64 to qualify for semifinals.

Brian Gertzen qualified for finals in the mile run with a time of 4:11.55.

The 4x800 (7:38.54) and distance medley (10:02.49) relay teams both qualified through to finals.
