Lucas Meyer Wins 5K as Yale Finishes Fourth at IC4As

Lucas Meyer ran the 5K in a time of 14:14.64, giving him an NCAA provisional qualifying time and the victory in the race at IC4A's. Yale finished with 36 points, good for fourth place.

Other finalists for the Bulldogs included Brandon Giles in the 55m dash, who earned fifth place with his time of 6.47. In the 500m run, Shomari Taylor ran a ninth-place 1:04.63, and was also a part of the 3rd-place 4x400 squad that finished in 3:11.82. Kevin Alexander, Giles, and Rob deLaski were the other three runners on the team.

In the distance medley relay that featured Casey Moriarty, Christopher Tingue, Matthew Bordoni, and Josh Yelsey, Yale came in third with a time of 9:56.57.

In the field, Jihad Beauchman earned a 6th place standing in the triple jump with a distance of 14.55 meters.

The NCAA Championships take place the weekend of March 10-11.
