Bulldogs Compete at Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Texas - The Bulldogs traveled to University of Texas for the 79th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. The Texas Relays showcases the nation's best professional, collegiate and high school track and field athletes in a four-day competition. Competition began on Wednesday and continues until Saturday.

Jihad Beauchman qualified for NCAA regionals in the triple jump with his mark of 15.24 meters. He placed fifth in the B section of the triple jump.

Shomari Taylor narrowly missed qualifying for regionals in the 400-meter hurdles (52.51) with his time of 52.53. He was 17th overall out of 58 competitors in the university section.

The 4x100-meter relay team of Victor Cheng, Kevin Alexander, Dan O'Brien, Russell Kempf was 28th overall with a time of 41.41. O'Brien was 29th out of 54 with his time of 14.46 in the 110-meter hurdles. Cheng and Kempf placed 46th and 48th out of 65 with times of 10.96 and 10.98 in the 100-meter dash, respectively. The 4x400-meter relay team of Rob deLaski, Taylor, O'Brien and Alexander were 30th overall with a time of 3:16.04.
