Giles, Cheng Lead Elis to Second Place at Brown Invite

Brandon Giles and Victor Cheng finished first and second in both the 100 meter and 200 meter dashes as the Bulldogs finished second of 11 teams at the Brown Invite, falling only to the host school.

Giles won the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.76 and ran a 21.94 in the 200 to win that event as well. Cheng finished second in both, running an 11.00 in the shorter event and a 22.06 in the longer one.

In the 1 mile run, Pat Dantzer finished in 4:10.08 for the win, while two Yale hurdlers also posted bullets.

Dan O'Brien won the 110 hurdles in 14.61, while Shomari Taylor was the winner of the 400 hurdles in 52.95.

The Elis finished with 127 points.

Yale hosts rival Harvard next weekend.
