PRINCETON, N.J. - In the first day of competition at the 2007 IC4A Outdoor Track and Field Championship at Princeton's Weaver Stadium, Dan O'Brien ran a strong race in the 110-meter hurdles to win his heat with a time of 14.09, which was the top qualifying time for the day.
Joining O'Brien in qualifying for finals will be the 4x100 and 4x800-meter relay teams. The 4x100-meter relay team of Reynolds Holmes, Brandon Giles, Omari Douglas-Hall and Russ Kempf won their heat with a time of 41.43, while the 4x800-meter relay team of Matthew Bordoni, Chris Smitson, Tadhg O'Callaghan and Jared Bell finished second in their heat with a time of 7:36.16.
Holmes also finished seventh in the long jump with a distance of 7.16 meters.
