GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Elis ended the first day of competition at the 2007 NCAA East Regional Track and Field Championship in 26th with one point. Liberty currently leads the meet with 22 points after five events. Jeffrey Lachman was the sole scorer for the Bulldogs, taking eighth place in the discus throw with a distance of 51.84 meters.

Dan O'Brien finished in 23rd place in the preliminary round of the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.16.

In the 100-meter dash preliminary round, Brandon Giles finished in 29th place with a time of 10.83.

John Langhauser and Joe Kingsbery compete Saturday afternoon.
