NEW HAVEN, Conn. - This weekend, Yale returns to the Boston University track to compete at the BU Valentine Invitational. After hosting the Giegengack Invitational this past weekend, the Bulldogs are ready to travel to their last invitational meet of the indoor season. The strong competition at BU, which includes schools from throughout the region as well as club and professional athletes, will offer the Elis a chance to focus on lowering their times and increasing their marks before facing Harvard and Princeton in a triangular meet and tackling the championship meets at the close of the season.
Yale last competed at BU two weeks ago in the Terrier Invitational. After building some momentum from the past weekend's performances at the Giegengack Invitational, the Bulldogs have the potential to improve even more before going into the final stretch of indoor meets. After strong performances this past weekend, look for senior Victor Cheng and sophomore Remi Ray in the sprints, juniors Jared Bell and Jake Gallagher in the distances and junior Samuel Fox in the high jump to lead the efforts of the team.
The distance medley relay will be the only men's event on Friday evening. All other men's events will take place throughout the day on Saturday. For a complete schedule, see the Boston University Athletics website. Results will be posted on www.yalebulldogs.com at the conclusion of the meet.
