GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Elis are competing this weekend at the University of Floria in the 2007 NCAA East Regional Track and Field Championship. Yale was 21st last year with 10 points earned by Jihad Beauchman (high jump) and Kevin Alexander (400-meter dash).
A number of outstanding athletes will be representing Yale at the meet and the following is a recap of a few of their achievements to date:

Yale record holder in the 100-meter dash (10.58)
Heps champ in the 100-meter dash
Second leg of 4x100-meter relay team that was second at Heps
Joseph Kingsbery (3,000-meter steeplechase), Jr., Shrewsbury, NJ
Tenth all-time at Yale in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (9:06.39)
Fourth at Heps in the 3,000-meter steeplechase
Jeffrey Lachman (Discus Throw), So., Los Angeles, CA
Heps champion in the discus throw
Fourth at IC4As in the discus throw
Fifth all-time at Yale in the discus throw (52.03 meters)
John Langhauser (Shot Put), Sr., Basking Ridge, NJ
Outdoor Heps shot put champion two years in a row
Yale record holder in the shot put both indoors (17.88 meters) and outdoors (18.03 meters)
Dan O'Brien (110-meter hurdles), Jr., Providence, RI
Heps champion in the 110-meter hurdles
Fourth all-time at Yale in the 110-meter hurdles (14.07)
