Finishes 13th at Heptagonal Championships
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Sophomore Conor Dooney earned All-Ivy honors in his debut at the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships last Friday at Van Cortlandt Park in New York, N.Y. Dooney placed 13th with a time of 25:50.2 on the 8K course.
Despite sitting out most of last year because of injury, Dooney has become a key contributor to the Bulldogs this season. He placed second overall at the annual Harvard-Yale dual meet and 11th out of over 200 runners at the Iona Meet of Champions.
Each year, All-Ivy selections are based on performances at Heptagonals. The top seven runners make the first team, and the next seven make the second team.
