Perrella Earns All-Region Honors

Perrella Earns All-Region Honors

Will Compete at NCAA National Championships

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – After just being shy of receiving All-Region honors last season, senior Jeff Perrella came back this year to earn the honor with an eighth place finish at the NCAA Northeast Regional last Saturday.

Perrella has consistently been the Bulldogs' frontrunner this year and has earned multiple honors to cap off his final season. He finished ninth at the Ivy League Heptagonals Championships, earning him All-Ivy honors, and placed eighth at the nationally acclaimed Penn State National. Perrella's regional performance also qualified him for NCAA National Championships on Nov. 22, making him the first Bulldog to qualify for the national meet since Lucas Meyer '05 in 2004.

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) recognized nearly 450 athletes that earned All-Region honors on Monday. The top 25 finishers at each regional meet receive the honor.
