Bulldogs Fall to Harvard in Season Opener

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Yale men's cross country team had its five-year winning streak against Harvard snapped Saturday, scoring 32 points to the Crimson's 24. Junior Jake Gallagher won the event for the second consecutive year, clocking in at 25:43.40.
Yale's next finisher, junior Jared Bell, finished fifth (26:14.90), followed by freshman Johnny Van Deventer in sixth (26:16.80). Junior Murat Kayali finished ninth (26:35.50) and junior John Hinkle placed eleventh for the Bulldogs (26:42.20), completing the top five Yale runners.
The Elis will compete next at the Quinnipiac Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 22 in Hamden, Conn.
