"Inside Ivy League Basketball" is back for its seventh episode on Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 7 p.m. featuring interviews with Yale junior guard Megan Vasquez and Brown junior forward Andrew McCarthy.

Vasquez currenty sits just 47 points away from becoming the 17th player in Yale's history to reach 1,000 career points.

The leading scorer in each of her three seasons in a Yale uniform, Vasquez is currently averaging 14.7 points per game, which is the fifth highest average among Ivy League leaders. She has scored 20 or more points six times this season, reaching a season-high 23 points on three occasions, including a game-high 23 points in Yale's 89-65 win at Dartmouth. She averaged 11.5 ppg. as a freshman and 13.6 as a sophomore.

Vasquez, an All-Ivy First Team selection last season, earned a spot on the Ivy League's weekly Honor Roll after averaging 19.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.5 steals in the two wins at Harvard and at Dartmouth. She scored seven of her 23 points in the deciding 26-1 run at the start of the second half at Dartmouth. She also helped the Bulldogs stay within striking distance in the first half, scoring 11 of her points in the half. At Harvard Friday night, Vasquez scored 13 of her 15 points in the second half and grabbed seven rebounds to lead Yale to the come-from-behind win.

The two wins moved the Bulldogs into second place in the Ivy League standings. Heading into a weekend showdown at Penn and Princeton, Yale is 11-7 overall and 3-1 in the Ivy League, just a half-game behind first-place Princeton (3-0).
