Summer Basketball Camp Open to Girls, Grades 8-12, from June 21-23
NEW HAVEN, Conn. — The The Yale University women's basketball team will host the Chris Gobrecht Elite Hoop Camp Thursday through Saturday, June 21-23, in the Lanman Center, located inside Yale's Payne Whitney Gymnasium.
The Chris Gobrecht Elite Hoop Camp is designed for highly motivated athletes, grades 8-12, with aspirations of competing at the college level. Enrollment in the Chris Gobrecht Elite Hoop Camp is open to all and will be limited only in number to ensure individual attention and exposure. The camp will be led by Chris Gobrecht, the Joel E. Smilow, Class of 1954, Head Coach of Women's Basketball at Yale, with assistance from the Yale women's basketball coaching staff and team members, along with other coaches from around the region.
The fee for the Chris Gobrecht Elite Hoop Camp is $450 for overnight campers, $425 for all who register by May 1. For day campers, the fee is $375, $350 if registered by May 1. The fee includes breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as camp T-shirt. Enrollment in the Chris Gobrecht Elite Hoop Camp is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Fees must be paid in full to secure a spot.
The Chris Gobrecht Elite Hoop Camp strives to create a competitive and supportive atmosphere for young women who wish to compete at the next level.
Girls who register are asked to bring the following items to the camp when they arrive on the Yale campus:
- Basketball shoes
- Flip flops or athletic sandals
- Socks (extra)
- Gym clothes
- Ankle braces (if needed)
- Medical devices (if needed)
- Money for the Yale bookstore
- A great attitude.
