NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Yale will look to continue its unbeaten start to Ivy League play when it travels to Columbia on Friday night and Cornell on Saturday. Tip off on Friday is set for 7 p.m., and Saturday's game will tip at 6 p.m.
Yale (8-8, 2-0 Ivy League) swept the season series against Brown with a 73-52 win at John J. Lee Amphitheater on Friday, January 24. The Bulldogs shot a season-high 51.7 percent from the field in the contest and were led by 14 points apiece from Sarah Halejian and Lena Munzer. The duo earned Ivy League Weekly Honor Roll recognition for their contributions.
The Bulldogs took the lead for good with an 11-0 run midway through the first half to build a 23-16 lead. Yale then put the game away by rattling off 23 unanswered points at the end of the first half and the beginning of the second. The Bulldogs received a complete team effort that had 10 players score in the contest and play at least 14 minutes.

Cornell has won four of its last five games, including a 76-51 win over Columbia last weekend. Joelle Davidson led the way with a career-high 17 points and 14 rebounds. What To Watch For
Ball Control: In their win over Brown last week, the Bulldogs were able to post a +7 turnover margin in the contest and score 22 points off of turnovers. Yale will need to continue that trend as they head into this weekend. Columbia forces 14.6 turnovers per game, while Cornell leads the Ivy League with a +3.06 turnover margin and forces its opponents into 19.9 turnovers per game.
Bench Production: Yale's bench has played a key role in each of its last two wins. The Bulldogs got 25 points from its bench in last week's win over Brown and is receiving 23.1 points per game on average. Overall, 10 players average at least 11.0 minutes per game and just two players play more than 25.0 minutes per game. Yale's opponents this weekend rely more heavily on the starting lineup. Columbia has four players that average over 25.0 minutes per game, while Cornell's starting five each play at least 26.2 minutes per game.
Post Presence: Another positive trend Yale will look to continue is its production in the post over the past two games. The Bulldogs have accounted for a total of 80 points in the paint combined in the last two games and outrebounded Brown by a total of 25 rebounds. Furthermore, Yale recorded a total of nine blocked shots in the wins, including three by Alexandra Osborn-Jones last time out.
Yale returns home for Ivy play when it hosts Dartmouth on Friday, Feb. 7, at 7 p.m. and Harvard on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 7 p.m.
The Bulldogs will host Special Olympics Night for the Feb. 8 contest. Yale will welcome Special Olympics Connecticut and the Unified Sports athletes from area high schools for an awards ceremony and special halftime game.
