To say that Zenab Keita has been an inspirational presence on Yale's campus would be an understatement. One of Keita's many titles is her role as a center on the women's basketball team. Keita has enjoyed an extremely successful career for the Bulldogs both on and off the court and is this week's Total Mortgage Spotlight Athlete of the Week.
Off the court, Keita holds a long and impressive list of titles. She is the President of Yale Student-Athlete Committee and Events Chair. She is also the women's basketball team representative for the Bulldog Sustainability. She volunteers at the New Haven Soup Kitchen, at Yale Youth Days, and for the Yale Women's Basketball Pink Zones and Battle of the Badges Fundraising Competition for Breast Cancer Research.
Be sure to catch Keita and the rest of the women's basketball team take on Cornell on Friday and Columbia on Saturday. Saturday they will host their annual Pink Zone and "Battle of the Badges" events. Fans wearing pink to the game against Columbia will receive free admission, while all of the day's proceeds will go to the Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven and Yale Cancer Center through the "Closer To Free" fund. Don't miss a great weekend at the John J. Lee Amphitheater! Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm on both nights.
