The Bulldogs are preparing for their home season-opener against St. John's on Nov. 15.
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Through a combined and collaborative effort over the past few weeks, the Yale women's basketball coaching staff and players have produced the first-ever edition of the Bulldog Buzzer Beater, a monthly newsletter that will discuss all things pertaining to Bulldog basketball and the upcoming 2014-15 season.
The September issue offers a note from the Joel E. Smilow, Class of 1954, Yale head coach Chris Gobrecht, where she gives a quick update on the fall season and what the Bulldogs have to look forward to in the coming months.
The newsletter also gives an inside look at how four upperclassmen spent their summer with interesting internships, such as working at Madison Square Garden, or trips to foreign lands, like Rome, Pisa, and Florence.
Each of the team's four freshmen are introduced, as they share some personal thoughts and why they chose to come to Yale for basketball.
The first edition wraps up with a season-long schedule that shows just how many places the team will be visiting and how many big-time games are on the slate for this season.
