Dec. 21, 2005
WASHINGTON D.C. -- Four Colonials scored in double figures, led by Kimberly Beck's 16 to lead George Washington to an 88-37 victory over Yale on Tuesday Night. Yale's Sara McCollum (Old Lyme, Conn.) also had 16 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome a hot shooting Colonial team who finished the night shooting 60.8% from the field.
George Washington took control early, hitting 11 of their first 12 shots, running out to a 20-4 lead. By halftime the lead had grown to 42-14 as the held Yale to just four field goals in the half.
The second half was more of the same, as Yale continued to struggle and G.W. continuing to stay hot, eventually winning 88-37.
Yale drops to 0-8 on the season while George Washington improves to 6-3.
The Bulldogs return to action on Dec. 28 when they travel to Charlottesville, Va. to participate in the Cavalier Classic hosted by the University of Virgina. The Bulldogs take on the host Cavaliers in the opening round at 7:00 p.m.
