TODAY'S GAME
Yale makes the short trip to Providence for its first Ivy League road game, the rematch with travel partner Brown. The Bulldogs enter the contest the winners of six straight and with an overall record of 8-7 (1-0 in the Ivy League). Yale is looking to win its seventh straight for the first time since posting a school-record eight-game winning streak from Feb. 9-March 2, 1980. Brown has lost six straight and enters the contest with a 2-13 overall mark (0-1 in League play). Both of Brown's wins this season have come at home.

SERIES HISTORY
Yale and Brown have met at least once a season since 1973-74, the first year of varsity women's basketball at each school. This is the 64th meeting between the schools, breaking a tie with Princeton and making Brown Yale's most common opponent. Brown leads the all-time series 40-23. Yale snapped a nine-game losing streak against the Bears with last weekend's 69-49 victory at the John J. Lee Amphitheater. The Bulldogs haven't won at the Pizzitola Sports Center since posting a 67-52 victory on Jan. 29, 2000.

LAST TIME OUT
Yale snapped a nine-game losing streak against Brown and ran its winning streak to six straight with a 69-49 victory last Saturday at the John J. Lee Amphitheater. The Bulldogs came out cold and trailed 16-13 midway through the first half. After Brown tied the score at 18-18 with 6:23 left in the half, the Bulldogs held the Bears scoreless the rest of the period. Yale ended the half on a 13-0 run and headed into the locker room with a 31-18 lead. In the second half, the Bulldogs' lead reached as many as 27 points, as Brown wasn't able to get any closer than 13. The Bulldogs grabbed a season-high 53 rebounds and held a 53-35 edge on the boards. Yale equaled its best defensive performance of the season by surrendering just 49 points. Erica Davis and Chinenye Okafor both posted double-doubles for the second time in six games. Davis had 21 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks. Okafor tallied 10 points to go along with 13 rebounds, which tied her career high. She added four assists and five steals.
