NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Three Yale basketball games will be televised live on the YES Network as part of the Yale on YES package this winter. All three games will be broadcast from the John J. Lee Amphitheater and will begin at 7 p.m., starting with the women's game against Harvard on Fri., Feb. 6. The Yale on Yes men's games are Princeton on Fri., Feb. 13, and Columbia on Sat., Feb. 21.
"Our team is definitely excited to have our game against Harvard televised, but I also think this is really good for women's basketball," said Chris Gobrecht, The Joel E. Smilow, Class of 1954 Head Coach of Women's Basketball. "Yale and Harvard represent what intercollegiate athletics should be about and fans of the game will see the kind of intensity, all-out play and team attitudes that make our game popular."
The Yale on YES package began this fall when three Yale football games were televised.
"Having the opportunity to continue our relationship with the YES Network speaks volumes to Yale's commitment to athletics," said James Jones, The Joel E. Smilow, Class of 1954 Head Coach of Men's Basketball. "It's a wonderful opportunity for our friends, family and fans to watch us perform."
