NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's crew will face two of its biggest rivals over a three-day stretch beginning on Saturday. The Bulldogs, ranked 12th in this week's CRCA/US Rowing national poll, race No. 7 Radcliffe and Northeastern on Saturday on the Charles River and then is back at Gilder Boathouse to host No. 9 Brown on Monday.

Yale is looking to regroup after losing all five races to No. 6 Princeton last Saturday.

"Coming off of last week we are continuing to work on rowing a complete race," said Yale head coach Will Porter. "We need to race like we practice and be more consistent with our speed.  Remember, this team only has four seniors on it. We are very deep with freshmen and sophomores, and every time out they are gaining important experience. Experience is great, but it is more about what they do next that matters."

The Yale and Radcliffe varsity eights will be racing for the Case Cup. The Bulldogs won the cup last year, cruising to a nearly seven-second victory on the Housatonic. Radcliffe, though, went on to earn a bit of revenge by winning the Ivy League title a month later.

Yale and Brown will be competing for the Nat & Anne Case Cup. The winner of that cup is determined by the results from the three NCAA crews (varsity eight, second varsity eight, varsity four). Yale currently holds the cup after winning the second varsity and varsity four races last year.
