Notebook: Varsity Eight Earns Second Team All-Ivy Recognition

NCAA Selection Show Set For Tuesday At 5 p.m.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The nine members of the Yale varsity eight have earned second team All-Ivy recognition by virtue of their performance at Sunday's Ivy League Championship.

The honored Bulldogs are coxswain Kristen Brownlee, Eliza Hastings, Abbie Young, Claire Tolson, Nina Demmerle, Kim Szokol, Natalie King, Maddie Lips and Colleen Maher. The crew finished second to Princeton in the grand final.

Selection Show Tuesday At 5 p.m.

Yale will learn if it is one of 11 crews to receive an at-large bid to the NCAA Championship on Tuesday. The selection show on is slated for 5 p.m. and can be seen here.

The teams that have already qualified by winning their conference's automatic bid are Boston University, Gonzaga, Marist, Navy, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Princeton, Rhode Island, USC, and Virginia.
