Yale's women's crew made a great showing at the Henley Royal Regatta over the weekend, advancing an eight to the semifinal of the Remenham Challenge Cup and qualifying a coxless four for the Town Challenge Cup. Those weren't the only Bulldogs, though, who had successful weekends on the water.
Lily Lindsay, who graduated from Yale in May after sitting in the varsity eight for two years, was also at Henley, competing for the United States' under 23 program. She sat in an eight that was rowing as the Princeton Training Center and also was competing for the Remenham Challenge Cup.
The Australian eight that knocked off Yale in the semifinals, went on to capture the Remenham Challenge Cup by beating a British crew in the final.
At the Swiss National Rowing Championships, Ella von der Schulenburg, a rising junior who sat in Yale's varsity eight in the spring, finished third by a half second in the elite singles. She will row for Switzerland at the Under-23 World Championship in Poland later this month.
